Event Registration, Participation & Awards Nomination
Organised by Xown Solutions Limited | Marriott Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos | July 24, 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your registration, attendance, and participation in CyberX Summit 2026, including the CyberX Industry Excellence Awards nomination process, organised by Xown Solutions Limited ("the Organiser"). By registering for the event or submitting a nomination, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms in full.
2. Registration & Attendance
• Submission of the registration form does not guarantee attendance. All registrations are subject to review and confirmation.
• Xown Solutions Limited reserves the right to accept or decline any registration at its discretion without obligation to provide reasons.
• Event access — whether physical or virtual — is only granted to confirmed participants.
• The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any registration or nomination that does not comply with these Terms, without prior notice.
3. Event Changes & Modifications
• Xown Solutions Limited reserves the right to modify event details, including date, time, venue, speakers, or agenda where necessary.
• In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the event may be rescheduled, moved, or adjusted in format, including virtual delivery. Registered participants will be notified accordingly.
4. Awards Nomination — Eligibility
• The CyberX Industry Excellence Awards are open to individuals and organisations operating in or contributing to the cybersecurity ecosystem across Africa, with particular focus on Nigeria.
• Nominees must have demonstrated the relevant achievement, contribution, or innovation within the preceding 24 months of the nomination window opening.
• Employees and directors of Xown Solutions Limited and their immediate family members are ineligible to be nominated.
• A nominee may be submitted under more than one category; however, they may only receive one award per edition of the summit.
• Organisations must be legally registered and operational at the time of nomination to qualify for organisation-category awards.
5. Nomination Process
• Nominations must be submitted via the official CyberX Awards nomination form before the published closing date. Late submissions will not be considered.
• All information provided must be accurate, truthful, and complete. Submission of false or misleading information will result in immediate disqualification.
• The nominator is responsible for obtaining the nominee's consent before submitting personal details on their behalf.
• The Organiser reserves the right to request additional supporting documentation at any stage of the process.
• Submissions will not be individually acknowledged. Shortlisted nominees will be contacted directly by the Organiser prior to the event.
6. Judging & Selection
• All nominations will be reviewed by an independent panel of judges comprising recognised professionals in the cybersecurity, technology, and business sectors.
• Judges will evaluate nominations based on demonstrated impact, innovation, excellence, and relevance to the nominated category.
• The Panel's decisions are final and binding. No correspondence regarding judging outcomes will be entered into.
• Any judge with a conflict of interest must declare and recuse themselves from evaluating the relevant nomination.
• The Organiser reserves the right to withhold an award in any category if no nomination meets the required standard.
7. Nominees & Winners
• Shortlisted nominees will be notified in advance of the event and may be required to confirm their availability to attend the awards ceremony.
• Winners will be announced at the CyberX Summit 2026 awards ceremony. Awards are non-transferable and carry no monetary value unless otherwise stated.
• By accepting an award, winners grant the Organiser permission to feature their name, image, organisation, and a summary of their achievement in post-event publicity.
• If a winner is found to have provided false information or acted contrary to the spirit of the Awards, the Organiser reserves the right to revoke the award at any time.
8. Use of Personal Information
By registering or submitting a nomination, you consent to Xown Solutions Limited collecting and using your information for:
• Event registration, coordination, and administration of the Awards
• Communication before, during, and after the event
• Sharing relevant updates, follow-ups, insights, and post-event resources
• Invitations to related events, services, or future offerings
• Internal analysis to improve the event experience
Your information will not be sold to unauthorised third parties. Personal data will be processed in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).
9. Marketing & Communication Consent
• By registering, you agree to receive event-related emails, SMS, or WhatsApp communications, including follow-ups and post-event resources.
• You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by contacting the Organiser or using the unsubscribe option in any communication.
• Nominee and winner personal information may be featured on the Organiser's website, social media platforms, and marketing materials. This will be communicated to the individual in advance.
10. Media Consent (Photography & Video Recording)
• The event will be recorded and documented through photography, video, and other media formats.
• By attending CyberX Summit 2026, you grant Xown Solutions Limited full rights to use, reproduce, and distribute any media in which you appear for:
◦ Marketing and advertising materials
◦ Social media and digital campaigns
◦ Website and promotional content
◦ Future event promotions
• This use is royalty-free and perpetual, and does not require additional consent or compensation.
11. Intellectual Property
• All event materials, presentations, branding, and content associated with CyberX Summit 2026 and the Industry Excellence Awards remain the intellectual property of Xown Solutions Limited and respective speakers.
• Participants and nominees may not reproduce, distribute, or reuse any materials without prior written permission from the Organiser.
• By submitting a nomination, nominators grant the Organiser a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to reproduce any supporting content provided in the nomination for award-related publicity purposes.
• Nominees and winners may use the CyberX Awards title or badge for personal and professional publicity, subject to the Organiser's branding guidelines.
12. Code of Conduct
• All participants, nominees, and attendees are expected to behave professionally and respectfully throughout the event and all associated proceedings.
• Disruptive, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the event or disqualification from the Awards process without notice or refund.
13. Liability Disclaimer
• Xown Solutions Limited is not liable for any personal loss, damage, or injury sustained during or in connection with the event.
• The Organiser accepts no liability for nominations or registrations that are incomplete, lost, or delayed due to technical issues or circumstances beyond its control.
• The Organiser shall not be held responsible for any reputational, financial, or other loss arising from inclusion in or exclusion from the Awards process.
• Participants are responsible for their personal belongings and conduct at all times.
• In the event of any dispute, the matter shall be resolved at the sole discretion of the Organiser, whose decision shall be final.
14. Amendments
• Xown Solutions Limited reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Changes will be published on the official CyberX Summit website and take effect immediately.
• These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
15. Agreement
By registering for CyberX Summit 2026 or submitting a nomination for the Industry Excellence Awards, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions in full.
